Referrals

A referral is not required to receive psychological services. However if you wish to claim a rebate through the Medicare Better Access to Health Care Program a referral from your General Practitioner or Psychiatrist is required.

Occupational Therapy Fees

Rebates

Medicare

Medicare rebates are available for eligible clients to a maximum of ten sessions per calendar year.

Medicare rebate for a consultation with a Clinical Psychologist

Standard or long consultation (item no. 80010)                                $124.50
Brief consultation with a Clinical Psychologist (item no. 8000)         $84.80

Medicare rebate for a consultation with an Occupational Therapist

Standard Consultation (item no 80135)                                               $74.80

Private Health Funds

Private health fund rebates are also available. Please contact your health fund to check your eligibility. Please note that you cannot claim from both Medicare and your Health Fund for the same consultation.

Other

We also provide services under other funding arrangements (such as NDIS, Victims Services, Veterans Affairs, PCCS Access Plus). If you feel you may be eligible please speak with us or your provider.

Reduced Fees

This is a private billing practice however bulk billing and reduced fees are available to some pension and health care card holders. Please note there may be a waiting list for reduced fees due to high demand

Cancellation fees

Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you are unable to attend an appointment. This  allows us time to offer the appointment to others who are waiting for sessions.

• Sessions cancelled in less than 24 hours attract a $50 cancellation fee.

• Scheduled sessions that are not attended or cancelled will be billed at the usual full rate. These sessions are not eligible for Medicare or health fund rebates.

• For sessions scheduled to be bulk billed, the cancellation fee is $25. This is not payable by Medicare.

Reports and letters

Letters to referrers do not attract a fee. Other types of letters and reports requested by you will be billed at the rates recommended by the Australian Psychological Society

Consultation, supervision and training

Fees for consultation, supervision and training vary and are available upon request.

Payment Terms

All payments are due at the time of the session. Our practice has full ETPOS facilities. We accept all major credit cards except Diners.
