Psy Reg No. PSY0001272155 Jo is a registered psychologist with more than fifteen years experience working with young people and adults in private and community mental health settings.  Jo takes a personalized and holistic approach to mental health and wellbeing that focuses on an individual’s capabilities and values.

Jo’s experience as a psychologist includes consulting in career management and corporate settings, counselling and coaching individuals in private practice, and working in the public sector as a specialist in mental health rehabilitation.  She has spent more than a decade working in Community Mental Health within Adult as well as Youth and Family teams.  Prior to studying psychology Jo worked as a physiotherapist and has experience as a health coach.

Jo helps people to manage a range of conditions and cope with adversities including anxiety, mood disorders, personality dysfunction, psychosis, stress, trauma and relationship difficulties.  Using evidence and mindfulness based interventions she draws on a variety of therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Family Systems to help people create a healthier, fulfilled self.  Jo completed the Foundation training in DBT in 2021 and is a member of the Northern Beaches DBT Program team.
