Sylvi is a registered Psychologist with a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology. She has 5 years experience working with adults, young people and families in a variety of mental health settings.

Sylvi enjoys supporting adults, young adults and teenagers through mood disturbances, all forms of anxiety, relationship difficulties and life transitions, with a special interest in helping people with complex traumatic experiences. She can help clients who experience difficulties expressing or managing their feelings and who may struggle in relationships or to engage with education or employment.

Her previous roles include working with adults with severe and chronic mental health conditions such as personality disorders, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, and most recently supporting young people and their families affected by conditions of moderate to severe intensity including mood and anxiety disorders, PTSD and emerging personality disorders or psychosis.

Sylvi shows genuine care and curiosity for her clients’ life stories and difficulties. She believes in client-led recovery principles and endeavours to empower her clients to reach their full potential. Sylvi is trained in and may utilise Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and narrative techniques. Sylvi completed the Foundation training in DBT in 2021 and is a member of the Northern Beaches DBT Program team.
